Indalo |
Does the symbol of the Indalo bring good luck?
Millions of people believe in the Indalo's luck-giving properties: Give someone an Indalo and it will give them the power to belive in good luck and happiness for ever. Who says?
There are examples of the Indalo-type symbol in various parts of the world like Cuz Cuz in Chile, Lombardy in Italy, and in Peru and Argentina.
In Italy, for example, the Indalo shape represents the pre-historic "divine proportion" expressed by Leonardo de Vinci in his Vitruvian Man - a human body inscribed inside a circle and a square (being the fundamental geometric patterns of the cosmic order).
In North America too, the Indalo or Rainbow Man / Woman of the Indian warriors is a symbol of the twelve spiritual energies of the body.
They are all believed to have some sort of "luck-giving" magical powers.
In none of these regions is the Indalos symbol so prevalent as in Almería, and particularly the small pueblo or village of Mojaácar in the south east corner of Spain. |
